If you don’t loudly say “Hammer time!” when the coverage switches to the hammer throw, you’re doing Olympic watching wrong.

Given that 3x3 basketball is at the Olympics along with the full form, why not have both? How about this for a controversial idea - make football part of the Winter Olympics
Might be a controversial shout but I’d rather see futsal at the Olympics over football. Give the next generation a chance to watch a sport that encourages creativity and flair; something that is missing in modern football. The knock-on effect would be huge for both sports

“Blighted” is an interesting choice of words given the number of unnecessary stoppages VAR itself has caused.
Norway will hold "open and democratic talks" over VAR ahead of a vote in March. Another game was stopped by protests on Monday - this time by a flurry of Danish pastries. The Eliteserien has been blighted by fan opposition to VAR all summer. Read 👇 https://t.co/dhhOob7Jgc

Australia v Zambia is the sort of knockabout fun that tournament football should be. 2-3 with 10 minutes left of the first half.

Women’s football at the Olympics has been at 12 teams since 2008 despite the exponential growth in the game. Mens has pretty much always been 16. Of course, if it was parity that was wanted, it should also become an U23 comp like the mens.
Olympics chiefs to @skynews on football disparities: "Raising the number of women's teams would potentially trigger requests from other team sports, which would then have an even greater impact on the cost, complexity, size & sustainability of the Games” https://t.co/0YaKWaWGuH

Love Clare Balding but for me the real triumvirate of swimming is Becky Adlington, Mark Foster and @HelenSkelton
