Because there is stuff you can explore there. Blitzo's bitterness towards royalty and how Imps are treated. Maybe Blitzo stifling sinners progress by being one who killed them and being proud of it. Charlie for once thinking of Hellborn and not just sinners. It has potential.

Audience already doesn't like and that is supposed to be enough. Big part of this should be how those both sides learn to coexist. When you skip learning you skip major part of the story. And to do that you also have to make both MCs pretty OOC as well. All for a cute image. Man.

Because big part of such crossover is how those characters mesh together. How they bounce off of each other and how different they are and how they clash, but here they just have them be "okay" with each other and that's it. And let me guess. Conflict there is beating up people-

This is such a reductionary choice. It pretty much strips this kind of crossover from most of the interesting conflict in it in favor of just having both MCs like each other from the start. It defeats the purpose of this crossover being a thing I say. Because there is no story.
So they spoiled the dynamic between Charlie and Blitz in a recent interview and omg it’s so forced. It’s so OOC for Blitz to even like Charlie, it goes against his previous personality and viewpoints. This really painfully highlights just how much they’ve rewritten him. 💀
