My faculty colleagues and I have been banned from Widener Library for two weeks to punish us for reading quietly while displaying quotations from the Library's statement of values
Roughly 25 Harvard professors conducted a silent study-in at Widener Library on Wednesday to protest the library’s decision to temporarily ban pro-Palestine students who held a similar demonstration last month. @tillyrobin and @neilhshah15 report. https://t.co/cqTzaV5KAE

For strategic planning reasons, taking a pause for 2025 and will not host an in-person event. We will have an online event in October, more details to come. Keep Baltimore on your mind - because that's where we'll be in 2026 thanks to @SohaBayoumi! More to come! #GraphMed2024

It bears repeating: it is unacceptable to respond to peaceful campus demonstrations with violent repression. 🧵

Wow, no one at the public radio station is a member of the party ideologically opposed to public radio???? Please stop pretending we need affirmative action for conservatives in a media ecosystem they already dominate.

umm...note to CNN...a "chaotic incident" is college kids storming a basketball court, not a massacre at a food line...

Our second panel included fabulous, varied work from John Gulledge and from @SohaBayoumi - on looking and embodied laughing in gory performances of Titus Andronicus and on humor in Covid-19 comics. Can't wait to read these full chapters in the eventual edited volume!

It’s beautiful seeing how much Sinéad O'Connor meant to so many people. Her bravery, politics, humour. Above all, how she was always herself was like a lighthouse signalling another way of living in a difficult world.
