2024 has been wild - and challenging. My mom @MiavanR fell twice this last month, and she's spending the holiday season in the hospital. As part of the @CultureOnAvax Avaissance project under the shining wings of @aaronhuey , this is a tribute to Mia. I'm so proud of her.

"Las Botas" - New free mint now on @zero________one - My dad’s vintage python leather cowboy boots were purchased in Guadalajara. Coming from a family of ranchers who raised cattle in Michoacán, Mexico, owning a high-quality pair of cowboy boots was a rite of passage for him.

"La Reina" - Live on @zero________one My mom grew up visiting her great uncle's ranch in Northern California & going to charreada’s (Mexican rodeo) with her family. Although her uncle eventually sold the ranch & family traditions evolved, the style of dress remained timeless.

"Herradura" - from my series Vaquero. Now live on @zero________one A horseshoe clock crafted in my grandma's hometown of Colotlán, Mexico. Colotlán is renowned for its leather goods and Piteado-style embroidery, often used to embellish the saddles, hats, and belts of charros.
