I love how you can see Gunn redo and improve shots from his older movies in his films done later with Braham, like the shot from where the camera follows Drax as he’s flipped over is done again in Vol. 3 since Gunn wasn’t happy with how it turned out in Vol. 1

This might be a bit hyperbolic, but it has to be in the top 3 at least.

It’s a bummer that Superman features the least amount of needle drops in a James Gunn film, but it makes up for that by having Gunn’s best needle drop.

I can’t stop thinking about The Toy Collector, it’s so awesome that the guy known for making Superhero movies wrote a novel about a man child who obsesses over toys and superheroes so he can relive his shitty childhood, and how the people who exploit that are the devil

He did say the Batman movie will be the characters first appearance, but I imagine he would like that break, especially since he’s probably also working on another season of Peacemaker and Creature Commandos.

I wonder what Gunn’s next film is gonna be, since he said it’s not completely a direct sequel? I’m tempted to say it’s probably a Superman/Batman movie, since he said he’s been working very closely with the Batman writer, but who knows?.

Back in 2021 Gunn said he didn’t want to make Superman because someone else will tell that story but no one will tell Polka-Dot Man’s, so it’s clear the story clicked for him when Pa Kent became inspired by his dad, Krypto became his dog, and Lois became his self insert character.
