The Trump admin, which says it was investigating fraud in Democratic-led states, reportedly quietly shelved a massive welfare fraud investigation in Mississippi involving public funds funneled to Brett Favre and others, per Huff Post

This is such an extraordinarily bad idea for a city that needs to grow the tax base more than just about any city in America.

BREAKING: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson will propose a new "head tax" of $21 per employee per month. The tax would apply to all companies employing over 100 people in Chicago and rise automatically with inflation. Long criticized as a "job killer," Chicago's previous head tax

BREAKING: This is unusual trading by a politican. Representative Greg Landsman sold up to $50,000 of United Health, $UNH, on 03/26/2025. Since, $UNH is down 53%, and it was disclosed that the DOJ was investigating $UNH for possible Medicare fraud. He sits on the House

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson's affordable housing push in Chicago looks like FRAUD. We've seen this with Johnson before. The Fifth City Commons Project in East Garfield Park—a 43-unit "affordable" housing development—cost taxpayers $38 million or $884,000 per subsidized

Did anyone in the media notice that the Mayor’s $830 million infrastructure borrowing for initiative allows him to make loans and grants to the school district so the city can help pay for the new teachers contract without going through City Council. The city already provides

More remarkable is that anyone bothers to try to explain $TSLA overnight moves as "irrational" NOW.... I DO NOT have the proof, but it reeks of manipulation. Intraday TSLA is DOWN 12% since 2010. Overnight up 26,200%

The Tribune editorial is calling for Governor Pritzker to step in to address the Mayor Johnson-CTU Stacy Davis Gates orchestrated school crisis. He can do that by reactivating the Chicago School Finance Authority (SFA) to take financial control over the schools. It would be

BREAKING Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson just called off his own budget vote. Aldermen know they cannot survive re-election by approving a historically unpopular mayor's effort to increase the burden on taxpayers. This happened because Chicagoans are finally using their voice.

This is 100% accurate. Any alderman, especially in close race wards, that votes yes on this budget will be specifically targeted come 2027 by a well-organized, well-capitalized, and pissed off group of concerned citizens. This is a different city than it was just a few years

UPDATE: Now 5 of the 7 highest salaries in the City of Chicago are staff assistants to aldermen. Something's weird here. Perhaps they're trying to squeeze in a bonus in a roundabout way of jacking up gross salary for one pay period instead of a separate check? 🤷

Chicago needs to take *risks* again. In our history we used to do that. Now, it's about NOT doing things. • O'hare expansion? Years delayed, crappy plans. No architectural or artistic vision. • Casinos? Do I need to explain even.... these are not Monaco style plans /1

These types of stats are why many young families, my own included, leave the city. It's a shame because the best of CPS is exceptional but the baggage that comes with it is unacceptable for a lot of families that can move to countless suburbs with a better educational experience

Chicago teachers get 78 days off and yet 41% are deemed chronically absent for missing 10+ days of work. With median pay of $95k (2nd highest in country), demands for 9% annual raises, and lousy outcomes, even the Chicago Tribune editorial board is fed up.
