This seems untenable in the long term.
The FAA has issued new restrictions for DCA airspace, effectively shutting down traffic when Marine One and helicopters supporting the president's travel are in the air. On Feb. 14, ~30 airliners circled for ~60 min and 9 were diverted to other airports.

Also, when they say “training flight” they don’t mean the crew was learning to fly, rather they were not on a mission transporting passengers and were presumably practing the route.

For those asking “what was that helicopter doing there in the first place?” This is a charted helicopter route and living along it I can tell you they fly all day, every day on this route. It’s not unusual. Attached is a map of the helicopter routes (dark lines) near DCA.

This is a pretty big admission that these programs are about collecting revenue and not actually changing behavior to reduce traffic deaths.
Interesting: D.C. is going to test out reduced fines from traffic cameras for low-income residents. The pilot program is limited though: it only applies to tickets $100 or less, and each qualifying resident only gets the 50% discount once during the pilot.

This thread has been realizing that most people don’t know you can buy bulbs in different color temperatures and many are getting “daylight” (5000k) bulbs when they should be getting “soft white” (2700k). I’d be pretty unhappy as well if my living room was lit like a warehouse!.
Let’s bring back real light bulbs. Who’s in?.
