Track II diplomacy is more imp now.
NGOs, media, academics can play role in consolidating such official moves.
I always say political powers change by time, what matters is state to state ties.
Plus real expertise comes out at times of crises, standing neutral than picking sides.
2021 has been a year of mass recalibration in MENA. Just as Saudi-Iranian dialogue is welcome news, so is Turkish-Emirati dialogue. Describing regional partnerships as permanent axes is lazy analytics that disregards shifting dynamics long characterizing the region.
