Vegetarianism is a choice, much like meat-eating. But the moment you use it as an indicator of ‘purity’, deeming meat-eating as impure/dirty and utensils used to cook it as untouchable, you enter the dark realm of casteist thought. Eat what you want. Don’t discriminate.

Many schools have made wearing masks compulsory for the children, on pretext of COVID-19 uptick. This step is completely unscientific & rather harmful for children. Schools shud stop this immediately. Parents should protest such policy. Govt Shud intervene. @dpradhanbjp

@BBCNews .@tanya_aggarwal1 with frequent shutting down of schools, it will hamper early childhood development. Unfortunately, govt have decided lockdowns as a default for 'protecting' children when there is much (unseen) harm that is caused.

What is the rationale behind school closures citing pollution as a cause ? Is the air better at home somehow ? Why do we punish children for our failures as administrators and as a society ?

In 2021, 500+ parents wrote to @DCPCR @AnuragKunduAK to intervene in repeated school closures. They delivered. Wrote a brilliant letter to @CAQM_Official. We need them again now. To stand up for kids & resist #CrimesAgainstChildren by @ArvindKejriwal @NCPCR_ @KanoongoPriyank.

As an education reporter, one thing I am sick about writing -- Schools reopen, school closes again. Why is education the first victim of any onslaught -- be it the pandemic or pollution. Will closing school control pollution, is it different air while at home and school?

No one cares for kids - not @NCPCR_, @AapKaGopalRai, @adeshguptabjp or @ArvindKejriwal - no one. If they cared, they’d do something abt sources of #AirPollution Instead they’re politicising the issue & harming kids by cutting off access to edu. Air toxic everywhere, incl homes
