Here's some of David Silverman's work from the production of Blood Feud (directed by Silverman):

This David Silverman drawing was part of a collection of Simpsons production material gifted to Frank Zappa (potentially in around 1992) and later sold at auction. Zappa and Gábor Csupó were known to be friends, with the Zappa family sometimes visiting the Klasky Csupo studio.

Since The War of the Simpsons (directed by Mark Kirkland) first aired 33 years ago today, here's a couple of production drawings of drunken Homer from the episode, seen for sale a few years ago:

Here's what I believe to be an example of Istvan Majoros' work from Lisa the Iconoclast (on which he's credited for character layouts). Istvan (who sadly left us in September) was known for using bright Prismacolor pencils, making his drawings easy to identify.

Here's a set-up of animation drawings from the true first Christmas special from season three of The Tracey Ullman show: Simpsons Christmas (or Simpsons Xmas), first airing December 18th, 1988. Thanks to collector Ed Ant for sending me this piece of Christmas Simpsons history.

Thought I should post something from one of the Christmas episodes, so here's some Funzo designs from.Grift of the Magi, directed by Matthew Nastuk. I'm fairly certain these are both the work of character designer Joe Wack.

Here's the storyboard and script excerpt from for a moment from Homer Loves Flanders that spawned the meme. Although the episode was written by David Richardson, the idea for this moment originated from showrunner David Mirkin and is based on a childhood habit he had.

To those who celebrate it, happy Thanksgiving! Here's a layout drawing from the classic Bart vs. Thanksgiving. This can be found on the Season 2 DVD extras.I vaguely remember Eric Stefani commenting when I posted this before to say he had worked on this scene.

Here's some interesting unused designs from Brother Can You Spare Two Dimes. I have no idea who 'Pete' is or why his dad was to be an extra, but assume he was staff on the show. If anyone knows, drop a comment below.

Here's a couple of uncropped cels from Natural Born Kissers (first airing May 17th, 1998). This episode marked Matt Selman's first full script and is the only episode to be directed by Klay Hall, who would later go on to be a supervising director on King of the Hill.

Here's something interesting/slightly odd from Hurricane Neddy. Although they are out of frame in the final cut of the episode, Mindy, James Woods and Barry White (who all show up in season 4 and 5) appear to have been erroneously included in a crowd of Springfield regulars.

Here's a model sheet for Rabbi Krustofsky (or 'Krustofski' as it is spelt here), voiced by Jackie Mason. This model sheet is where we see a younger Rabbi Krusofsky during Like Father Like Clown. The annotations relate to the character's colours.

Here's a interesting piece of Simpsons history which sold today at auction, a 1988 Matt Groening concept drawing for Milhouse (gifted to former director Wes Archer). I believe this could have been originally produced for Matt's unproduced NBC pilot Melvin's Inferno.
