"Imagine being so insecure in your belief-system that you would be open to persuasion and debate.". The rapier thrust of Mr. Doyle's satire through the heart of Woke.
Renowned grifter @andrewdoyle_com has written another vile book. It’s ignorant, ill-informed and offensive in the extreme. I have absolutely no intention of reading it. My review of “The End of Woke”.

Nothing to see here eh @darkwaterjack. Just an impartial judiciary diligently interpreting the will of the people's representatives in parliament.
@SimonRAnderson @NZFreeSpeech 1. Name suppression following a conviction was put in place by Parliament. If you have a problem with it, it is the MPs fault, not the judge's. They are simply applying the law, as they are obliged to do. If they get it wrong, that is what the appeal process is for. 2. I was.

“It is now well established that tikanga is part of the common law of New Zealand,” the judge (Lance Rowe) continued. The activist judiciary is supplanting our legal system with the cultural practices of stone-aged primitives. Without any mandate.

Arguments of tikanga came into play as a judge gives mobster his patch back after it was seized under the Gangs Act.

$70,000 for two months' work. Kiwis are literally paying lawyers tens of thousands of dollars each month to ensure Ardern and her co-conspirators never face justice. This is not money well spent.

The Labour foursome didn't appear publicly as part of phase two of the inquiry.

The utterly corrupt NZ Police take a share of the blame for this. By aiding and abetting rainbow violence against women and the elderly in Albert Park, @nzpolice reinforced a message worldwide that rainbow violence is tolerated (if not tacitly encouraged) by the authorities.

It's tremendous that GrapheneOS will support the new Pixel 10 despite the unnecessary hurdles Google has churlishly imposed. But the even better news is the availability of their own range of hardware in a year or two. Personally I can't wait to own one.
We've received the Pixel 10 we ordered and have confirmed it supports unlocking, flashing another verified boot key and locking again. Our Pixel 10 support will likely only be possible to complete after we finish porting to Android 16 QPR1 which is being released in September.

I think Ms. O'Brien is too quick to dismiss -and apologise for- a policy option that is worth considering. Take Rawiri Halfwiti for example. There is someone who might find satisfaction in life and even flourish, if assigned simple tasks to perform and firm rules to abide by.
READ: "The truth is that the British Empire stands out not because it practised slavery, it did, as others did before and after, but because it made the unprecedented choice to spend blood, resources, and decades of relentless effort to destroy it."

Mr. Mooney, like almost all National party MPs, is fundamentally a socialist. This is why National are determined to relentlessly continue the ruinous policy programme of the Ardern regime. It is their shared worldview. When they tell you who they are, believe them.
I’ve been reflecting on our (in)famous tall poppy syndrome. We often think of it as a negative, as it tends to be seen as knocking people down to size and can be perceived to inhibit ambition. But there’s another way to look at it I reckon. We don’t really give a **** in New.
