Interesting read. I read Musa Al-Gharbi’s book “We Have Never Been Woke” over summer and it was fascinating. He wrote about the rise of knowledge workers called Symbolic Capitalists. Those who work with data, not their own capital, to earn a living, but whose own value is.
What drives the offspring of the muddling classes to adorn themselves with pounamu lanyards and woke ideology?. I look to an American sociology professor, and Malcolm X, for answers.

Queenstown's Lakes District Hospital was built in 1988 for 4500 people. Nearly 80,000 people now live in Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes. The peak day population, including visitors, is now 168,353. 49 percent of planned births in Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago happened.
