Under Adam’s guidance @RegenBio I learned to apply engineering principles to challenges in biomedicine as well as mentoring, grantsmanship, leadership skills. He instilled the value of disseminating our work via build a Bioprinter workshops and #opensource hardware/software.

In 2011 I joined @MPuthenveedu lab @CMU_Bio for my PhD studying the #CellBio of #GPCRs and delta #Opioid #ReceptorTrafficking in chronic pain. Manoj and @Shoba_Bio support, career advice, and friendship has been both a required and sufficient part of my professional career.

My research is defined by great mentors. In 2009 @duvvuri_md in @PittHeadAndNeck we defined #TMEM16A role in cancer and metastasis. Uma pushed me to grow as scientist and molecular biologist always striving to improve patient health via basic research and clinical translation.
