Dear everyone who works at
@Twitter
, you saved my mom’s life this week.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Here’s the story. Crying tears of joy today for my mom, all because I sent a tweet.
"What you really want isn't a 51% democracy, it's a 99% democracy..."
This quote from
@balajis
is one of the most profound statements that really changes how I think about the future of communties & countries.
Hey
@mkobach
- just FYI, your tweet is framed in our house because it’s the reason
@heykatieneal
and I started dating. I RTd you.
She liked my tweet. I DM’d her. And now we live together.
🐥❤️
Holy shit.
@exxonmobil
Mobile payment using app extensions so I don’t have to download the app is the future.
That was amazing. Didn’t have my wallet, done.
Today is the biggest day since we started
@xmtp_
@LensProtocol
has adopted
@xmtp_
as the decentralized DM layer for the Lens ecosystem
This is a new era for social & messaging + endless new possibilities for web3
But why? A thread...

"Being a founder is solely about a bias to action. You have 100 decisions a day, but no definitive answers on any of them, if you sit and analyze the world will pass you by. A good plan executed now is better than a great plan executed later. " -
@pmarca
I just want to say it again:
The ability to send money globally for free in a simple and secure message is one of the greatest use cases I've seen to date.
Whatsapp can't do it.
Cashapp can't do it.
Venmo can't do it.
Coinbase Wallet can.
I'm 3 days into

Gmail strategy from the book "The Great CEO Within" and I'm just wondering why I didn't do this like 7 years ago in my life...
I think what most people are missing about the future of work is that it’s actually about the future of living, not working.
See Airbnb’s announcement. Living before working.
Who’s building Stripe for HR tooling?
I don’t want Rippling and Gusto to be my employee experience. I want it all to be our brand.
It should be like

Company news: We totally revamped our compensation system this summer. In short, "Flex Comp" now gives everyone a simple UX where you see your total compensation and choose a mix of Cash/RSU/Stock via simple sliders.
HOLY F***ING S***!!!!
This is literally the EXACT UX I had in mind...
@RealKevinYang
just nailed it.
I just use Gmail like I always use Gmail, Drafts are sitting there pre-written for all emails.
This can get SO smart and personalized. cc

@sama
Whoever builds the “Email Draft Writer” will be the email app actually worth paying for
I wanna wake up every morning and have drafts written for every email that needs a response
I just review, edit and send
Magic would be something like Sanebox + AI Drafts all-in-one
Why has no one built
@BankMercury
for personal banking?
All personal banks suck. Mercury is incredible for business banking.
I just want them to allow personal accounts.
We need a top-tier VC firm from NYC, SF, LA to move to Nashville. If you're interested, please say hi. Have a lot of thoughts.
If you moved here, even just 1 partner, you'd instantly be "the investor" for the best tech founders...
There's a ton of great founders here now...

Things AI can do now which will start showing up in tons of apps this year, an incomplete list:
- Code generation
- Write high school essays
- Summarize text
- Create & transfer styles on images, video
- Hold human-level conversation
- 10x better search
- Pre-draft your emails

🚨🚨BIG ANNOUNCEMENT🚨🚨
I’m launching a Rolling Fund with

focused on the future of remote work and living. The Logos Fund.
We haven’t seen a shift this big since mobile and it’s already changing how we work and live. There’s no going back.

Holy. Shit.
I haven't found an app that blew my mind in a long time.
This. Is. Amazing.
At a restaurant, game 7 blues hockey. Can't hear TV, won't turn on audio.
Solved.

Crypto Fund to build the standard communication protocol for web3 together
For me, I'm most excited to get more people into crypto and help people grow their careers from web 2 to web 3
🧵🧵🧵
In 2018, how you build your company is why people join. Not the idea.
When there’s a spaceship going to mars next door, your cool idea is no longer cool.
But you can offer a better place and way to work.
That’s the opportunity today. Very different than yesterday.
Looking for a product designer to help us design the future of our platform.
You'll get to work with Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter and other platforms to power the future of conversations.
Remote works perfectly.
ChatGP-EAT is a billion-dollar idea for someone to build today.
Imagine when this includes photos with it.
This is not 10x better than impossible-to-read recipe sites, this is 1000x better.

Been wanting this since the day I bought an

Just used

Also setup "get an email if my wallet receives a message on XMTP" which is awesome.

@jmj
this is not a technical or product decision, this is a philosophy decision.
when you speak publicly, you can't edit or take back what you said. you can follow up with a response about your comment...
i think i understand why they don't want to edit... kinda agree with it

I shared that phrase with someone yesterday and they were so curious.

Secure and verified support. For web3 is here.
Just tried the Bills product of
@tryramp
- everything they build is just so much better than anything before it.
Just drop in the PDF from email and magic.
Just wait til they just do it all automatically based on emails I receive / approvals I have set.
Win for all parties.
The way

See everyone at EthCC and instantly message them.
No app to download, right inside your wallet, can message any identity who has the POAP with any XMTP enabled app.
Nothing else like it. Magic 🪄🎥
The stories I’m hearing from founders about
@davidu
behind the scenes really make me happy for confirming all the great things I’ve always thought about him.
I live when good people are just actually great.
Anyone would be lucky to work with him.
On April 15th, 2019, a 58 yr old man by the name of George Sherman became the CEO of GameStop.
A retail executive coming in to try and save a retail company.
He just woke up this morning worth $349,606,220
It’s time for the story no one is talking about… 👇👇
One of the biggest mistakes I made as CEO was sharing all of my ideas with the team to make sure everyone knew everything I was thinking.
Your founder brain needs an editor and all of your ideas are confusing when shot from a machine gun.
Some people think they want the office back.
They actually want what happened NEAR the office back.
Everyone usually leaves the office to have their best meetings or hang outs after work.
So give it to them. Get people together in the same location, no office required.
An idea I want someone to build:
A notebook w/ an index filled w/ questions.
Over 10 years ago
@tferriss
wrote about indexing notebooks. I can say that 10 years later I have all notebooks, indexed, that have every idea and company that impacted my life...
Here's the idea...
My one year sober was last Saturday.
I thought this week would be this amazing week.
It wasn’t. It was tough. Felt like shit. Tense as fuck. Tense at work. Anxious AF. Was struggling to write anything, felt like shit in most meetings, terrible energy.
Feeling much better today
It’s embarrassing that even my crypto friends use Venmo not crypto to split a dinner and we have to change that this cycle.
We can’t guilt people into it, we have to make crypto wallets so useful they’re irresistible.
This moment is such a major milestone for

Not just because group chat is here, but because E2EE group chat is here and it comes with so much more!
✅ Group chat
✅ Installation / per-app keys
✅ Perfect forward secrecy
✅ Post-compromise security
✅ More modern curves…
Hey devs, we've got some exciting news!
We just released Group Chat on the Dev Network, and we'd love your feedback on it before we 🚢 it to prod.
Let's work together to build secure, private group chats, portable across apps, and protected from spam by the network.

Being a CEO is so hard
Everyone in the company thinks everyone is telling you everything when in reality no one is telling you anything
Creating the environment of vulnerability so people will open up to you is so hard
Lonely at the top
@chris_herd
We should open source a list of all companies returning to the office with link to their search results on LinkedIn.
I think that would be valuable.
I got sober 1077 days ago.
The day I got sober, a friend said to me "you're only as sick as your secrets" and it hit me like a freight train.
I sat down that night & wrote this. To be able to take these words and turn it into this song is mindblowing

There’s 300,000 unemployed military spouses, just getting started
Pretty cool to launch the first automated experience inside iMessage...
Kinda crazy to see it mentioned on the Apple earning's call today, check out the experience here
