🔑Implication (3/3):However, low absolute agreement indicates that data collected on different surfaces should not be used interchangeably (e.g. prescribing a magnitude of impact for training). Also suggests that researchers should report the stiffness of treadmills they use.

🔑Implication (2/3): Moderate to excellent consistency of accelerations between surfaces suggests that using different surfaces in research involving rank ordering of participants by acceleration may be acceptable (e.g. examining if impact accelerations are related to injury).

New practical paper by @Sarah_D_Tweets from our @DCU_RISC_Study in @dcu_shhp & @insight_centre. This study looks at relative consistency & absolute agreement of impact accelerations during running overground & on treadmills of different stiffness. #Biomechanics #wearables 🧵1/3
