📰I am committed to updating the public about all work continuing at the @FEC while we lack a quorum. When I became Chair on July 1, there were 161 pending enforcement matters. Now, there are 154. I will continue to share updates in the spirit of our mission to be transparent.

My team and I had a great time viewing the printing blocks used to press the original "Gerrymander" map cartoon at the @librarycongress - the best field trip for campaign finance nerds!

This morning at the @FEC's open meeting, Commissioner Trey Trainor (@txelectionlaw) decided to "pass judgment" on a requestor asking the Commission about childcare rules. He called the requestor’s need for childcare "abhorrent." Video: https://t.co/uYWEYTxlge

Today, @FEC disposed of two stagnant rulemaking petitions on #CitizensUnited and federal-contractor contributions. I support rulemakings on these issues, but the landscape has changed significantly since 2015. The Commission needs new and refreshed petitions on these topics.

As a proud HBCU graduate, I'm saddened that students at HBCUs across the country woke up this morning to bomb threats on the first day of #BlackHistoryMonth. Education is not a threat. "Flaming love and learning's light. Teach us each day, each passing hour." #Dillard #HBCUs

Our laws disadvantage working-class Americans and disabled veterans who seek to run for office. Today I issued a statement calling on the Commission to make running for office an option for ALL Americans. My statement: https://t.co/0878WoMfYc
