Too much #stress? Head to the woods! The view of treetops, aromatic scents, sounds of the #forest, plus the soft crunch of your footsteps - just a one-hour walk in the forest can significantly reduce activity in the #brain's amygdala. @mpib_berlin

Wow. Kenya is planting trees with seed balls covered in charcoal dust to keep animals from eating them, fight climate change, and combat #deforestation. We have the solutions; implement them. #ActOnClimate. #ClimateAction #climate #energy #nature #rewilding #GreenNewDeal

What the actual ACTUAL f*$k!!! I knew it was bad, but this bad? It takes women almost 15 years longer than men to become full professor at top UK universities. A small thread for those who don't have access to the article (1/x) https://t.co/xi7nMfVnPw

Our paper shows that both AM and ECM trees were more productive in mixed communities than in communities assembled by their own mycorrhizal type of trees, which can drive the positive BEF relationship! Huge thanks to many collaborators @EisenhauerLab

Decades of studies have demonstrated links between biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, yet the generality of the relationships and the underlying mechanisms remain unclear, especially for fore...

I'm very excited to share with you that the first chapter of my PhD @EisenhauerLab @idiv was published @NewPhyt🥳Our results show that positive effects of tree diversity on aboveground nutrient storage are mediated by complementary mycorrhizal strategies.
nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com
Species-specific differences in nutrient acquisition strategies allow for complementary use of resources among plants in mixtures, which may be further shaped by mycorrhizal associations. However,...
