The dossier, from a whistleblower, referred to 19 incidents that Kimber joined key meetings at Elbit Systems UK, including highlighting emails, WhatsApp conversations, and calendar invites that referred to his involvement and conversations regarding the bid.

Labour Peer Lord Hain in a letter to Defence Sec Healey said this was “a deeply troubling claim given the devastation unfolding in Gaza”, public contracts should reflect “the highest standards of integrity, probity and accountability”.

Elbit advertises its products as “battle tested” in Gaza, while Bain has been previously blacklisted by the UK government for corruption in South Africa.

Britain’s Ministry of Defence might imminently award a £2.5 billion, 15-year contract to a consortium led by the UK subsidiary of the Israeli arms company Elbit Systems, and US management consultancy firm Bain & Company.
