I really did not expect "open source projects must allow sanctioned individuals and employees of sanctioned entities in Russia to be maintainers of their projects, or it's not open source anymore" to be a hill so many people are willing to die on, but here we are.

Follower power: Do you know any Go Library that allows marshalling k8s structs to simplified k8s YAML files? The yamlv3 package also prints 100 unset fields :/ #Kubernetes #Golang

Unbelievably saddened by the loss of my dear friend @SusanWojcicki after two years of living with cancer. She is as core to the history of Google as anyone, and it’s hard to imagine the world without her. She was an incredible person, leader and friend who had a tremendous

GitHub could make git lfs free.. and this would help them reduce binary clutter in git repositories, but instead they ask for money although repository disk space is free. 🤔 Am I missing something?

TBH, I don't understand GitHub's pricing strategy with git lfs. Isn't the goal of using git lfs to avoid binary clutter and reducing the repository disk size? So why should I pay for git lfs if I can just put the PDFs or images directly in the git repository?

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but why does dbus feel so terrible? People seem to prefer making subprocess calls over using dbus. This clearly shows to me that there is some sort of gap. Why can't we have something more simple to use? #systemd #dbus

Check out our team's whitepaper on "Securing the AI Software Supply Chain" using provenance information. We need to make provenance as ubiquitous as TLS/SSL and it is critical for a robust and trustworthy AI ecosystem -

Function annotations are horrible. Sent by someone who rants over Python test cases with 30 lines of annotations for 2 lines of code in the function.

Nice set of open benchmarks/datasets for security tests against LLMs. v2 covers new categories of prompt injection, vuln identification+exploitation, code interpreter abuse (v1 covered insecure coding, cyberattack helpfulness). Could be useful to become a security leaderboard on
