It's #NationalCharterSchoolWeek. 3.6 million students attend the 7,700 charter schools nationwide, which employ 206,000 teachers. Charter schools promote innovation in education and offer parents one of the most important choices they can make - their child's education.

We've accomplished a lot. Most of all, thank you, Wisconsin, for your trust and confidence during this amazing chapter in my life.

There are too many people to thank. I want to thank my family for sharing my time and attention with the citizens of Wisconsin. I want to thank my entire team, past and present, who have been tirelessly dedicated to our shared passion for Wisconsin and conservative principles.

After twelve years of state service, I have made the very difficult decision that it's in the best interest of all these commitments to bow out and not seek another four years in the Wisconsin State Senate.

In addition to my commitments to public service and my family, I am also committed to my God, my Country, service in the U.S. Army, and maintaining a private-sector career.

I have always approached public service as a Citizen-Legislator, and that has meant wearing many different hats.

It was my intent until recently to run for a second term in the State Senate. However, the politically tumultuous events of the past couple of months gave my family and me some time to reflect on the next four years.

I'm honored to receive the 2022 Friend of Pharmacy Award from @PSWpharmacists, recognizing my work to allow pharmacy students and pharmacy technicians to administer vaccines under supervision. That bill is now 2021 Wisconsin Act 3.

My goal for this session was to focus my efforts on making a difference for Wisconsin families, finding common ground, and getting things done. In my latest e-update, I discuss those efforts that made this a successful session. Read 👉

A bill I authored that helps teachers get credentials they need to teach college-level courses for high school students who are pursing early college credit was signed into law last week. SB 833, now Act 217, makes sure this important program continues.
