We were so flat after Seb’s heart check-up a fortnight ago. I’m pleased to say things couldn’t have gone any better this morning.
Fluid around his heart has gone, meds can stop and he’s clear to go back to Taekwondo next month!

Seb had a calm night, with his sickness and pain under control. They’re hoping to remove his chest drains today and he might even be able to eat something. He’s been so brave and no matter what’s he going through, is still being unbelievably polite with the nurses. What a boy!♥️

3 weeks after open heart surgery Seb was back in clinic. The new valve is working well & generally they’re happy. Unfortunately there’s still fluid around his heart, so need to go back in 2 weeks. Feeling a bit flat if I’m honest, but I think we’re running on fumes!

Well I finished…just! Time: 1.43.
Started steady at 7 min/mile pace and felt great early on. The unknown was always how my body would cope with running on the roads…it didn’t! Quads went at 8 and achilles at 11.
It took every bit of mental strength to get to the end.
