Whoa…. We agree with the Seattle Times Editorial Board about something related to Sound Transit. Historic moment, this. https://t.co/gVHO9jUFzN

At a time when transparency in government is being eroded on the federal level, it would seem that local public officials would want to do just the opposite.

Sound Transit’s search for a new CEO needs to be transparent. This is a consequential job and the region can’t afford a wrong move like letting the board self-deal. Beyond that, @DowC simply has not been an advocate for riders since ST3 passed. https://t.co/EUqxAYp1HU

# After serving as a leader on the Sound Transit Board for 15 years, Dow Constantine revealed Friday he is seeking the job as the agency's CEO. Some transit advocates remain skeptical.

Serious question for Washington Non-Profit, Government, and Politician/Representative accounts. Considering who this site is owned by and what they use it for, why do you continue to post here?

Reminder, @SoundTransit never even tried to study building on 5th in that gap you see in the pic. Killing that option without even looking at mitigation potential - then spending years arguing over lesser/more expensive plans is an indictment of our whole political process.

Historic repost: Back in 2022 we pushed for a new law that gives cities the ability to supercharge Link expansion…. and won! We’re winding down our presence here. Find us over at the place that rhymes with shoo schmy.
Great news!! Seattle Subway’s SSB 5528 legalizes a pathway for: ✅ speeding up ST3 construction, ✅ system improvements, and ✅ Sound Transit 4!! Get your favorite pen ready, @GovInslee :) THX to sponsors @SenMarkoLiias Sen Jamie Pedersen @Hackney4the11th @LizBerryWA

This is a map of housing prices, which is also a map of unmet housing demand. The people who enable this don’t deserve to be in power.
@SpodicMaterials @anitaposting @hecubian_devil Mississippi has the lowest rate of homelessness in the nation. And let me assure, Mississippi is neither wealthy nor particularly generous with social services.

Remember when SDOT put the first official citywide Link plan, ever, in the TMP? Last year feels like a long time ago. Note: We’re winding down our presence here and will be re-posting some old stuff. We’re active elsewhere.
It’s been a long road for Seattle to get to a citywide Link Plan (bottom right.) Huge thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way and @Spottnik and the @seattledot crew for including it in the new Transit Master Plan.

This is called “end point fallacy” and is common in facile analysis of transportation plans. “Why would I want to go from <end of the line> to <other end of the line>?” Most people don’t, but will use the many other trip pairs along the way all the time.
It takes 11.5 hours to go from one end of the Shinkansen network to the other (Hakodate to Kagoshima). Nobody in Japan makes this trip except as a stunt; if you need to go from Hakodate to Kagoshima you'll take a plane. And yet, HSR is very useful for Japan...

Huge thank you to everyone who reached out to help save the streetcar! It survived another year. “As-is” isn’t the end game here. Building the CCC and improving SLUS performance still need to happen. https://t.co/83D5yFyDR7

# By a 5-3 vote last week, the Seattle City Council said it wasn't ready to plan for the decommissioning of the South Lake Union Streetcar. But unifying the city's two streetcar lines into one system...
Save the Streetcar! The problem with the South Lake Union Streetcar is the @SeattleCouncil's failure to build the Center City Connector. Tell them to get their focus on @transit and off spending millions on helping people make illegal turns: https://t.co/wFHMZQtvJh

Whoa, check out CID station during construction!
@AlexKven @SeattleSubway @KccClaudia @SoundTransit Yep! And even if CID station has to be reconstructed, it’ll be a lot cheaper than digging a new one

This is an interesting idea from @NickSattele To re-configure the current CID station instead of building a new station. @KccClaudia and others do you know if @SoundTransit ever looked at this? Would a lot of coordination but if feasible saves time/money/politics/rideability?
