I've been sitting off on this for a while mostly because their appearances are VERY scattered across other books. However I wanted to make a reading order for the more notably important story arcs that Cloak and Dagger have had. I'll condense them in order.
@LanternJS
Listen I've managed quite a few movie theatres the past few years and he's 100% spot on. Disney completely dominates how many prints of their movies are in rotation so much so that often times smaller movies probably get one or two showings a day.
It's kind of interesting how the writers thought to make Dick darker skinned to reflect his Romani heritage, just to sexualize him constantly in the same season and then murder him. Like man's is being sexualized even after death 💀
One thing I'll say about Jason Todd is that I'm kinda happy to see people feeling sympathy for him. I feel like the average person equates him to being DC's answer to Punisher, but in reality he has a lot more nuance to his character than that.
One day we gotta talk about how DC as a company have gotten too comfortable over sexualizing Dick Grayson despite the fact that within canon it makes him very uncomfortable.
Injustice should've never been adapted into a comic. The video game wasn't particularly deep and the writing was pretty much just a vehicle to justify making a fighting game where heroes snd Villians fight each other.
Particularly worth noting Injustice has seemingly been pushed as the preeminent “Superman if Lois died” story as if we didn’t get a version of that same story that’s drastically superior in literally every conceivable way

Yes it is lmao MCU Peter is literally just YT Miles down to his supporting characters, and characterization. Go read any comic from when Peter was starting out, and then read a Miles Morales comic from his ultimate run and you'll see that MCU Peter acts nothing like 616 Peter.
Fuck no it's such an incredibly fucking dumb take on the character. Jason doesn't run around talking about how great America is, and being pro cop. Jason is a direct response to the corruption of the police department, and the city itself.
I usually dont get comic stuff on my tiktok but I saw this guy explaining why Red Hood is a "far right" character, and I want to ask my Red Hood fans; How do you feel about this? I'm not super into him, do you agree with his this sentiment?
Everyone trying to argue that he's better now for being Bi are ignoring the point. Jon being bi is great, but at the same time a lot of his personality has been erased in the process. Aging him up wasn't needed at all to have him be bi either.
It's crazy to me how I just watched Terrifier 2 this morning and there are characters that criticize glorifying serial killers and there is a scene where someone says "you don't see people dressing up like Jeffrey Dahmer because it's disrespectful" and I'm like.....yikes
@ceyhundvd
Yeah this shit is weird to me because I grew up with that time period where Peter was already married and Mayday was supposed to be canon as Spider-Girl in the near future. Peter has completely regressed as a character which has only seemed to get worse because of the MCU.
@drunkenassassi2
@CBMovieFan
LMAO you do realize that Robin has been around longer than Captain America right?? Batman and Robin were two of the most iconic household names to the point everyone knew them. Captain America was a B-list character at best up until the MCU started.

Hopefully I can find people to have fun discussions.
@LanternJS
Yup most studios are fine with workers and a close friend watching their movies for free, But Disney is easily the most strict about it. I've seen people get fired over trying to watch movies for free with friends.
You're watching a show about a man who got radioactive goo splashed on his eyes that gives him the power of echolocation. Like let's be completely fr right now lol
Gonna say something unpopular
He doesn't need the double D and I'm glad they didn't do it. I want this show to be grounded like the original, not campy
It's amsuing to me that DC never tried to capitalize on the Teen Titans show more. It was easily one of their most popular properties at the time beside Justice League and they never tried to push more content into the limelight.i
Starfire gets tens of thousands of likes on the regular on this app,trends every two weeks, she’s on a hit show, apart of dc’s most recognizable teams, one of dc’s most popular heroines, one of their most popular characters…it baffles me how little they do with her in Dc comics.
Ironically the Teen Titans Go! Comic was ahead of it's time. Near the end of the book Robin is essentially making the Titans a premier team that operate globally. Granted this was very much a callback to the idea of JLU, But it's a great idea in itself.
I really need Yara Flor to get more exposure moving forward. She also needs a Brazilian creative team as well to really give her the push she needs. Yara is extremely interesting so far, but hasn't really solidified herself as Wonder Woman yet like Jace has as Batman.
I'm waiting on the day people realize that the new deal effectively prevents Tom from being used like they planned Intially, So now they keep making spin off movies in order to maintain the rights.
One of the reasons why I love all the Robin's pretty equally is that they all have their own unique perspective of Justice and what the respective mantles of Batman and Robin mean.
Tbh for years people have been begging for the Super Family to get the same exposure as the Bat Family. I think overall it's great for all the involved characters since this might mean we get more solos.
like this feels crowded already and the twins aren't even in this page
also the jackets look great but it makes them blend into each other a little bit, I think I would've preferred their usual suits instead (except for natasha)
@VegetaIV
Yeah that's fair I just feel like since Peter's arch-nemesis is always gonna be Green Goblin having Hobgoblin mostly associate with Miles would keep Hob from being overshadowed by Norman and Harry. I'd even be fine with someone associated with Miles taking the Hobgoblin mantle.
@WebHeaded_Josh
Without a shadow of a doubt. People often equate bad writing to "I don't like the direction of the story" when in reality something can be well written even though you don't like the direction a story is taking.
I think the average viewer don't like the DC brand I'ma be 100%. Like with films there's a clear bias regardless of the quality because in their eyes "MCU did this and that first".
I'm really glad that the Black Punk scene is getting more exposure due to Hobie in ATSV. I remember as a kid even up until HS liking punk rock was hella frowned upon. Being represented in that manner makes me really happy.
Don't even get me started on the whole "They all play a role" Jason Is LITERALLY considered dead there's absolutely no reason for Jason to be involved 💀
If Sam is going back to being Falcon, I think it would be very important for Marvel to take steps in order to elevate the Falcon mantle to being something equal to the title of Captain America.
@TheeDCstan
You could very much feel that she's actually written by a black person. This is definitely something I need to see whenever Miles gets introduced.
Thinking about it more it's super problematic that characters have to "look queer" to be queer characters. Men have to be twinks and women have to have dyed hair of some kind. It's an issue in a lot of different media, but especially at DC right now.
DC is doing this thing where they make all their queer male characters look like Twinks which I DON'T like tbh. Like it's really nice to see people of different body types be represented.
Damn y’all really loathe the idea of Black men and Black women being together don’t you? This isn’t happening not because it’s a bad idea but because we know the Marvel/Hollywood agenda against Black couples is real and they’d never show a non-toxic Black couple in an MCU movie
@LanternJS
The way he's been a whole Anti-Hero for most of his existence but people really only think of him as a Villian because of the movies and a few games 😭
@sennaverse
This lineup isn't the final line up though. Williamson said that there would be many attempts at forming a "Justice League" and that the first few attempts would fail. I believe this is the first attempt, and the next failed attempt will be the future state lineup.
The best thing about this book was that it showed Bruce really has come full circle. If Bruce is incapable of forgiving Chill, then his ideas of the rehabilitation of criminals would be very hypocritical.
This friendship is one of my favorites in comics. For many many years Peter and Matt have been there for each other in each other's darkest times. Idk it always warms my heart to see them fighting side by side.
NRS focused on the shock value of making heroes and villains flip sides in order to make the story seem more compelling than it actually was. You can tell that it was supposed to be a one-off story and nothing more and Injustice 2's plot is evidence of this.
@ComicsMeta
Honestly Mac Gargan as Peter's Venom was a good time because it didn't to ruin the character development Eddie had as an Anti-Hero and occasionally friend to Peter.
Rorschach is the very definition of a "far right character" and he's an absolute piece of shit for a reason. He's the type of person that would've been a huge supporter of stroming the fucking capital "to protect democracy". Jason would never be a MAGA supporter 💀
@Thrillh0us3
This makes NO SENSE. It's clear editorial at DC is all over the place. You can't have the YJ group be HS aged especially when all of them were like 17/18 when Damian was introduced as a 10 YEAR OLD. He's literally 15 now 💀.
I need EVERYONE to support this book so that DC knows that people actually care about Nubia. It's nice to see how much respect this special has for her tbh
Biracial discourse with Miles gives me a headache bro. The whole point of being biracial is acknowledging both sides of their culture. Miles is an Afro-Latino which means you can't have one without the other.
Black Lightning should be a founding member of the Justice League in every universe PERIOD.
Black Lightning is an incredibly important character to the DCU and should be reflected as such. His absence from the league reeks of racism 90% of the time.
I might be in the minority here, but this might actually be my favorite Cass suit. It does a great job of making her standout. I'd only make a few tweaks to flesh it out completely.
@DavidLobefaro
Eh not really no one's expecting great writing from the show(it has it's moments), but it gets to a point where it's too much and starts to cross into problematic territory.
@nycspiderwriter
It feels so weird going from season 3 where Dick was slightly fleshed out as a character and then the next season he's quickly regulated to being sexualized constantly despite stating he's uncomfortable about it many times in the show.
@D4hz4hn
I hate how they even retconned it in the first place in comics. Intially he just quits because he out grew the role. The retcon adds all the uneeded family drama.
NRS very much seemed to have almost surface level knowledge of most of the characters because if you read ANY of the characters in the first games story, most of the choices don't really make much sense lol.
Not to mention that fight in Task Force Z burned bridges with almost everyone in the family with the exception of Stephanie (Duke too but he was absent lol).
Injustice feels like a story where NRS wanted to have their own take on Flashpoint but making it incredibly hopeless by setting the Meta's in game as Villians. Thematically a dictator Batman story wouldn't be believable enough to warrant an alternate earth to step in.
I really do think people see any character that uses guns as "far right" when in reality it's just a tool like anything else in a persons arsenal. Nothing about the way Jason carries is "Far right" like be so forreal.
Ngl I'd love if Miles ended up having Kenneth make more of his suits moving forward. A know a lot of people didn't care for the last suit, But a remix of this suit and the other one would be lit.
Writers at DC suck at meta commentary now It reminds me of Bendis hyping up that one issue of LOS that featured Jon and Damian meeting for the first time since Jon went to space saying how fans of SuperSons should be excited just to end up completely trashing fans in the issue
@TheQuiver_
@comicyehu
I feel like on one hand I can understand why people who have never read a MK comic in their lives enjoy this interpretation, But at the same time it also fundamentally changed the character to the point the character might as well be something else 💀
@TheeDCstan
Well now this makes me wish Terry was Asian cause an Asian Batman sounds like a great idea and I’m surprised they haven’t utilized characters like Bat-Man of China as much
Complaining about this is dumb. I'm more concerned about the fact that Miles is being portrayed as a potential cheater despite having a girlfriend he's been dating for years now 💀
Really, Peter? You're "too old"? Becasuse the editorial keeps telling us that you aren't, making you act like a immature college boy or highschooler and can date as many women as you want, without making permanent relationship.
Preview for "Spectacular Spider-Men"

I think what I liked about King's run of Batman was that Bane really was a force that challenged Bruce to his core. Ever since Knightfall, Bane has occasionally been used to appear as a very mindless brute that is obsessed with that one moment in time where he bested Batman.
Idk to me this really does embody the essence of hope that superheroes have been defined by at their core. This is one of those moments that will be looked back on fondly years from now for being so incredibly endearing.
Can you imagine the potential storylines we were robbed off after Clark went to warworld? We could've had Connor take up the mantle of Superman, and have him and Kara essentially step up and lead Jon. Rushing Jon to 17 and ignoring the superboy who's already 17-18 is stupid 💀
