This year has been very, very difficult for me dealing with the unsolicited DMs, emails, texts, people accosting me in public about the list. It has put me in a bad mental place & I had reached out to people for help earlier this week.

It seems clear there is no solution that will make everyone happy, but I wanna chat with some more people I trust before coming to one. When that happens I will not post about it, I'll just do it.

That is to say, inviting Paul Schrader is not meant to be an "edgy" (or any other kind of) statement. But I also get that it reads that way and/or can make people whose work revolves around issues of abuse uncomfortable.

Regarding who is and isn't included in the list, I want to think a bit more. Some context is that the filmmaker outreach basically goes on a big bcc to people known to us who have responded previous years & there is probably less intentionality to it than people may ascribe.

I had a thoughtful chat with @blakethinks in which I apologized and gave him context on the blocking & list business. His list is restored to its rightful place, and modified to omit stuff form his email that wasn't meant to be there. I feel much gratitude toward him for talking.
