JFC if you’re a senior dev and your GitHub contributions graph is indistinguishable from a junior’s, then you’re not supporting your junior colleagues and aren’t a senior dev, just an arsehole with an ego.
i remember some folks hating on my github graph back in the day, saying i'm not a real dev because i don't have a lot of contributions. brother, i was building proprietary enterprise software every single day, not building silly side projects on github

Bah. A couple of weeks ago, one of my favourite podcasts decried musicals. This week, they’ve gone after audio drama. It’s like @PilotTVPod is TRYING to irk me.

Really enjoyed this – the plot could have been structured more coherently, but the events within are written, and performed, so so well.

Every time I see posters for this, I have to remind myself that it's not about a young journalist who grows up to be an enormous bellend of a TV presenter who assaults producers when there's no hot food available.
It’s lonely out West, but then. Jake crosses paths with Chris. Clarkston, a brand new play by Samuel D. Hunter, starring Joe Locke, Ruaridh Mollica and Sophie Melville is coming to the West End this September. Tix are on sale NOW! 🎟️:

One of the best things about this list is how many whiny little shits are being even whinier and shittier than usual because their favourite fuckwit conspiracy theorist Joe Rogan has been snubbed in favour of 100 podcasts that are actually interesting.

Sounds like somebody doesn’t like reading for pleasure, and is trying to rationalise that by hating on everyone who loves it. Just admit you have different hobbies without being a dick about it!.
the best way to turn a student off of books forever is to try to trick them into thinking that reading is fun. reading is not fun, and if the only reason they are reading is for fun they will stop when they realize the truth.

If anybody’s wondering about the real reason Byron’s leaving #Neighbours now instead of hanging around til the series ends in Christmas, it’s because he’s off to be a Viking

The 'Bloodaxe' TV Series from Amazon has found its lead in Xavier Molyneux, sources tell Deadline.

You need to understand that there's a reason why em dashes and Oxford commas are used in generated outputs and that's because PROFESSIONALS USE THEM.
do not understand why people who are using AI to write their work emails aren’t editing them even slightly before sending? if i get one more ‘professional’ email in that stupid fucking chatgpt tone full of em dashes n oxford commas i’m going to start screaming and throwing things.

This is SUCH a load of officious, pretentious twaddle for the Ministress of Twee. Some jobs may suit an office environment better, some may not. WFH roles can be great, e.g., for those with young families who would otherwise need extra childcare just to cover commute times alone.
This working from home SHIT has to stop, it’s destroying mental health for millions of young people, and forcing many others to spend far more on housing just for the extra office space. It may suit middle class, middle aged, middle management, it does not suit most young people.

“There are many reasons to fall for Sing Street @LyricHammer. [Covid-based cancellation of a 2020 Broadway run] has given the show an opportunity to reaffirm its roots in the British-led pop boom of the early 1980s” ★★★★ for @MusicalTheatreR
