My dad is my best friend. We talk every day, often multiple times. Occasionally he says things that are so insightful I write them down. I've got a note on my phone called "Lessons from Dad". These are those lessons, in full color.

My favorite thanksgiving fact: Gratitude *causes* happiness. It’s not that happy people are more grateful, it’s grateful people are more happy.

My TED talk just went live – The History and Power of Poop For most of human history, we looked at our waste to understand our bodies. That practice fell out of favor with the rise of modern plumbing. Your waste has wisdom. We’ve just stopped listening. This talk is my case

One of my favorite reactions we get to Throne is when someone comes into the conversation skeptical, and ends the chat with wide eyed saying “this is more useful than [insert wearable of choice].”

Last time I did this I stayed awake and got to watch myself from an angle I don't see normally, I got to ask questions and make the odd joke. And I could drive straight to a restaurant and get something to eat because I was starving. Today I might go flying, there's a launch in

I just finished watching this, and while it's a shame Kian turned down the offer to debate, it's good that he was given the opportunity to get on stream and tell unprompted lies. Let's go through. --- Starts just after 0:37: “Cremieux basically for several months has not

If I was a young ambitious person today, I’d try to go work at a vertically integrated company (hardware, software and/or ops).. The sheer complexity of problems that you have solve in the moving world truly makes you better at thinking through second & third order effects.
