In tonight’s apocalypse game, the Hardholder sailed a ship to the womb of the world’s psychic maelstrom and sent the Gunlugger down. The Battlebabe kidnapped her (unwilling) mother from her father’s abusive regime, and the Gunlugger chose his lover over the call of the void

This is why I immediately disengage from an RPG discussion the instant someone utters the word "immersion"
I think 99% of TTRPG discourse could be avoided if people just defined their terms. People say "D&D", but some are referring to the game published by WOTC, and others are referring to the experience they have playing the game with their buds.

Once, consulting for a friend’s police procedural RPG, she needed names for five stats. I said they should all be body parts that complete the sentence “the kid’s got ___ but he’s a loose cannon” and got Heart, Guts, Brains, Muscle, and Nerve and I’ll never be that good again

today in SCUP, the Chef and the Gauntlet tacked onto the growing Love Polygon, the Crown received a prophecy while conceiving his heir, the Gauntlet bought out the Spur's militia from under him, and the Hex and his masked patron busted the Spur out from the dungeons
