My mother’s nursing home tells me not only do they have no Covid-19 - they currently have no patients with URTIs or UTIs They are wondering if this is a reflection of how well they are washing their hands these days. Discuss!

You were absolutely correct - have had a response from @johnlewis but still nothing from @jlpartnership who seem to be obsessed with an imaginary dragon ☹️

And just for context here’s what I wanted to complain about - yes that’s a barely 9cm mount marked at 10 by 10cm (ignoring the fact that 4 inches is nearer 11 cm)

How can anyone have experience of everything? Extrapolating this means a GP would need to be infertile, a parent, struggling with elderly parents while being an orphan etc, etc. Empathy is the key - understanding does not equal personal experience!

We now have 1697 new GPs ready to join the workforce!! In June-July, the College reviewed the training for 1697 trainees & made recommendations to the GMC for them to receive their CCT. Great news! @HelenRCGP

Although I am a great believer in the old saying “ the harder I work the luckier I get”. Great talk @LeicsRCGP by @kamleshkhunti some years ago on Karma - there’s a man who recognised the role of luck and chance in life

RCGPCouncil member: lifting of Tier 2 visa cap for overseas doctors is great example of different organisations working & lobbying together for change - next step to make it easier for GP practices to sponsor overseas doctors to work in UK general practice

Thanks to all my friends and colleagues from HEE who have been such a wonderful bunch of people to work with. I know it doesn’t always seem that way to trainees but we really are trying to do our best.
