Intentions are great but w/o a clear policy & risk assessment this can lead to an influx of people moving into jobs that previously weren’t available to other NYers. NYS unemployment is about 4.4%; a plan to absorb fed workers need to be a specific number & over a period of time

If the goal is isolationism it should go both ways: as the US cuts aid and funds to other countries that should also include what the US “imports” from these countries.

🗣️ppl proudly voted for all this! Stop wasting your time on trying to show them it is harmful (bcuz to them it is a necessary struggle for their perceived end goal). They voted confidently for this & to them it looks like the most responsive govt has been.

On one had the feds are saying handle your own financing and revenue but in selective situations they’re like nah we will intervene and also provide no funding. Welp NYS legislators you gotta figure it out because this one is on you like many more things to come.
