One of the most amazing antelopes you are ever likely to see in real life. Opened our room door to see one of these 6 feet away from us grazing in some bushes. Incredible creature.
The lowland nyala or simply nyala, is a spiral-horned antelope native to southern Africa that you might have never seen. As a herbivore, the nyala feeds upon foliage, fruits and grasses. A shy animal, it prefers water holes rather than open spaces.
