Cockfosters development APPROVED tonight, despite being described as ‘hideous’ by a committee member who then voted to approve it. Only 10 homes will be at Social Rent levels and only 10 will have 3 bedrooms - a tiny fraction of what's required by policy and ... (1/2)

There are 5,000 children living in temporary accommodation in Enfield in desperate need of affordable (social rent) family homes. This development of over 351 homes on public land was approved last night. It will help just 10 of these families. Just 10. @tomcopley

@cllranderson Yes, it will help those who may be considering a judicial review. Here's another example (there are a lot). Whatever peoples views on this scheme, we all surely want decisions to be made on accurate reports and evidence, but that's not what we're getting.

@cllranderson Depressing. Here's another trick/mistake in the officer report for Cockfosters - they justified the terrible housing mix by referring to figures in the wrong housing needs report. It makes a huge difference!

TfL plans to close the 400 space car park at Cockfosters station forever! The whole area is likely to require resident-only parking zones. So, people who Park and Ride for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur and for work in central London, won't be able to park at/near Cockfosters.
