*LIFE UPDATE*
After two years of forecasting sunny days, stormy nights, and everything in between for our community, I've decided to embark on a new adventure in my career. It's with a mix of joy and sadness that I announce my departure from KOLR 10. My last day will be April 24
Springfield, Missouri welcomed me with promos and pictures! I’ll be back on your screen Friday! Population is off by 140000 totaling a whooping 300000 people! A big step up from Cheyenne Wyoming. Cheyenne you will always have part of my heart as you were the first career home ❤️
I won’t be on your screens for a few weeks. I am getting my third tonsillectomy. Part of my tonsil has grown back making me chronically ill for the past few months. I can’t wait to recover and feel myself again!
CAREER UPDATE: From Cheyenne, Wyoming to Springfield, Mo -I’m now headed to Kansas City! I’m very excited about this opportunity and exploring everything KC has to offer including the Chiefs (sorry Titans fans I will have to cheer for the Chiefs too)!
CAREER UPDATE: My time at KGWN is quickly coming to a close. I will be on your TVs tonight & tomorrow. Then, I will be going on vacation, but I will be back on your tv Friday June 4 for my last show in Wyoming. I will keep you updated on my next adventure soon!
Thank you
@GregBennettKCTV
for these earrings! They are perfect for a meteorologist 😆 Today was fitting with showers and storms on the way for this afternoon! ⚡️
Good morning Kansas City! I hope you are waking up with
@samantha_boring
and myself this morning! We are talking springlike and maybe even summer temperatures this weekend!
Hey everyone! I’ve been very busy training over the past few days, which has been going amazing! I’ve been on the morning show with Greg Bennett this week. My debut will be today at noon! I’ll be in the saddle full swing by this weekend 😊
Surgery went great. Boy, the road to recovery has been very difficult! I am still only able to eat soft foods which means eating lots of ice cream. I’m in tremendous amounts of pain, which leads to me only speaking 100 words or less a day. I have had great help this past week ❤️
Hey
@Ginger_Zee
! It’s my second week at KGWN in Cheyenne, Wyoming it’s currently 39 degrees! We are having thunderstorms and there is graupel falling with strong winds 🌨🌩
So exciting for the KC Currents to have their home opener tomorrow! Did I mention this is the first ever stadium to be dedicated to women’s sports, how cool!
Good morning and happy Monday!
@GregBennettKCTV
is catching up on sleep for the next few days so you can catch me in the mornings! Ps. The weather is going to be gorgeous today!

Hi I’m Savannah! I presented research about tornado outbreaks in the context of atmospheric blocking! I moved from Tennessee to Wyoming to be the evening met in Cheyenne for my first. Loving the job not loving the cold, windy, and snow weather, definitely a warm climate gal!
*PLEASE SHARE* An enhanced risk, level 3 out of 5, has been extended along and south of I-70 for tonight. The main risks are damaging winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado spin up cannot be ruled out. Please stay weather aware this evening into the overnight hours.
Can we give a hand for all the nice people in the world! I left Cheyenne for a new job in Springfield, and everyone has been extraordinarily nice to Bandit and I over the last few weeks. I appreciate this so much from everyone in the Ozark and everywhere in the world ❤️
This time last year, I was recovering from surgery. Now I’m celebrating 6 months of working at
@kolr10news
, and it just wouldn’t be right without the potential for severe weather tonight!
Today marks one year working in Springfield for KOLR10 and boy did it fly by. It feels like just yesterday I was walking into the building meeting everyone for the first time. What a blessing this past year has been!
Tune into Wyoming News Now for the latest coverage on the winter storm! I’ll be coming to your tv from my back yard and trying not to drown from all the snow!
Strong to severe storms possible with showers and storms already north of I-70. The second round of showers and storms will fire up late this afternoon and last until late tonight. The main threats today strong winds and hail.
You may want to get the umbrella out and ready for Monday morning. A complex of showers and storms will push into the area early Monday morning. Right now models have the heaviest rain stay north and east of the metro.
Heads up! A line of showers and storms could impact the area bringing gusty winds, hail, and heavy rainfall. Right now, there is Severe Thunderstorm Watch is Nebraska which could be extended to include the area.
An excessive heat warning is posted for the metro through Friday 9pm because the heat index values up to 109 degrees. A heat advisory is in effect for the rest of the area until Friday 9pm. Please do not stay out in the heat long. The next few days will be extremely dangerous.
Perfect day for the dogs to go for a walk and the dog park! Remember they aren’t use to the heat, which means they will likely get tired quicker than normal!
Reminder: if you can’t walk on the ground barefoot because it’s too hot, your dog can’t either!
It has been a winter wonderland across the Ozarks today, with heavy snow at times! Visibility is significantly reduced because of the snow, so if you have to get out, make sure to turn the headlights on and take it slow!

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the entire area from Monday morning through Tuesday evening. This will likely get upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning on Monday. Make sure to prepare now and if you have to travel have a winter safety kit in your car!
Temperatures will be average today but cooler tomorrow, all thanks to showers and storms. The heat builds heading into the middle of the week, with temperatures in the 90s and heat index values in the triple digits.
The evening week day weather will look a bit different over the next couple of weeks.
@JSeawright_TVWX
will be stepping up and filling in for me. I am having surgery today as my tonsils grew back after having them out at age 16!
Good almost afternoon! It is going to be a steamy day across the region. Heading into Father's Day Weekend things get a little dicey, a front brings the chance for strong to severe storms Saturday evening into the overnight hours.
The first heat advisories of many will be in effect at 1pm through 9pm this afternoon for the far weather counties. There is a slight chance for showers and storms tomorrow afternoon, if these pan out then temperatures will take a hit and won't be as hot.
PLEASE SHARE: KC is now under a slight risk, level 2 out of 5, with all severe weather modes possible this afternoon into the evening. A better chance for a tornado spin up is just east of KC. Please have multiple ways of receiving weather alerts.
Do you have any Christmas decorations? Winds will start to pick up tonight and especially into tomorrow. Temperatures tomorrow will be in the 70s, and Santa has been informed to wear his shorts and t-shirt to the Ozarks tomorrow night!
#kolr10wx
We now have a Tornado Watch for most of the viewing area until 11pm. This DOES include the KC metro. Please stay safe.
@WarrenKCTV5
and
@LukeDorris
has your back and will keep you safe and updated tonight. Tune into kctv5 to learn the timeline for these storms.
PLEASE SHARE: Dangerous heat will scorch the area over the next few days. Today the feels like temperatures will be in upper 90s and low 100s. Make sure to drink plenty of water and allow time out of the heat to cool down.
Good afternoon! We have a marginal risk for strong to severe storms overnight. The threat for severe weather won't fire up until after 10pm and will continue to spread east. The main threats will be gusty winds and hail.
Hey
@SouthwestAir
I’ve been at the airport since 10am and every flight going to Nashville is significantly delayed. Were no lesson taken away from last year? By the way, I paid extra for my dog to sit in the airport all day not getting fresh air.
@SouthwestAir
The heat is cranking up next week as temperatures will soar into the mid 90s, with heat index values in the triple digits. Make sure to limit time outdoors next week and drink plenty of water as temperatures will be well above average.
