When you see an awesome sweater at the vintage store but need to decrypt your Core client, spin up a LN node, and map out a path for your microtransaction before Susan spots the sweater. So smug with her instant on-chain BCH transactions. It wouldn't even look good on her!

When you understand the facts relating to cryptocurrency and see how esteemed journalists cover the topic it becomes hard to take anything they say at all as serious or even factual information.
If the success of Bitcoin Cash was dependent on the existence of a Twitter account then it was already doomed. Bitcoin Cash is not affected, and it still works better than BTC-Lightning.
The Bitcoin community has successfully been divided, and most have nothing but contempt for the other side. Each camp only accepts information that reinforces their own assumptions. Attacking people is prioritized over attacking bad information. It only gets messier from here.
BTC's Plan
1. Doxx Satoshi.
2. Use red herrings Satoshi planted as proof that Satoshi isn't Satoshi as an effective way of discrediting Satoshi.
3. Gatekeep the base layer and monetize off-chain scaling.
4. PROFIT!
BSV's Plan
1. Follow the bloody white paper.
"Bitmain accepting orders that won't ship until January is wrong."
"Dragonmint is accepting orders for their first batch shipping in March '18. So cool!"

Previously unpublished Satoshi Nakamoto:
"Bitcoin is a distributed secure timestamp server for
transactions. A few lines of code could create a transaction with an extra hash in it of anything that needs to be timestamped. I should add a command to timestamp a file that way."
Cost of Bitcoin conference tickets: BTC not accepted!
Cost of Blockstream stickers in LN tokens: Routing Error!
Bitcoin Cash solving scaling for the foreseeable future last August without changing Bitcoin's economic incentives: Priceless
If a billion people were using BTC with LN in production, the network could only handle 0.03% of users opening a channel on a given day. Also, that is assuming no other on-chain txs are occurring, like channel closings for instance.
If
@TwitterSupport
's understanding of distributed consensus systems is to be an arbiter during contentious chain (and community) splits then they might want to consider hiring someone that actually understands it.

Given the lack of throughput for opening and closing channels on-chain, I'm increasingly convinced if LN gains wide adoption the next step will be to start arguing the underlying layer isn't actually needed, and that closing channels isn't necessary.
