Every time I wear a handloom fabric, it is this wondrous application of human ingenuity to cotton that I enjoy - the smell of handloom includes all these, the Sun that grows the cotton, the hand that threads and dyes it and finally…the warp & weft that makes the fabric. Magic!

For thousands of years there were only natural fabrics, name from the fibres of flax, silk, wool and cotton. This is how cotton was made into cloth, the ancient way [📹 craftsman0011] https://t.co/QosuTgg4EH

So much for levelling up... just shows the utter contempt the Tories have for this country... Brexit took us back to the 1970s, now they’re about to take us back to the 1870s where the working classes “knew their place”... scum, the lot of them

Marie Curie died of aplastic anaemia on 4 July 1934, a result of years of exposure to radiation through her work. Even today her laboratory notebook from 1899-1902, is radioactive and will be for 1,500 years.

Check out this excellent work @angew_chem with huge efforts from the Peter's group @Uni_Stuttgart and @GroupKaestner. Some very small contributions to this work also came from us. This is how a top notch catalysis paper should look like!! @crc1333 @dfg_public
