The @IPCC_CH released the final Synthesis Report today, a labour of love and curiosity and overwhelming urgency - written by hundreds of scientists, weaving together the work of thousands more. (deep thanks to @KHayhoe for the fantastic summary).
Here are the big takeaways from the @IPCC_CH Synthesis Report released today. First, climate change has already caused widespread and substantial losses to almost every aspect of human life on this planet, and the impacts on future generations depend on the choices we make NOW.

We are so thrilled and proud at at the Waterloo Climate Institute that nearly 1/3 of this national pot of climate change research funding is coming to the excellent researchers at @UWaterloo. Our climate work is getting an enormous boost. Youāre all amazing. š¤©. @climatechangeUW.
