The time to take a position on issues that matter is now. Our natural resources need protection. Our towns and cities need to be free from violence. Our children need safe homes to live in. Our world desperately needs leaders who call for peace. #mlkday2024

Civilians in Gaza need a way out. Egypt should reconsider opening its border to civilians who are desperate to leave the area. World leaders should keep negotiating for safe corridors so civilians can leave areas under attack.

Today @FLOTUS joined a flag raising ceremony to celebrate the return of the United States to @UNESCO. The ceremony honors the reaffirmation of the U.S. commitment to global collaboration on education, culture, and science, as it rejoins UNESCO's diverse community of nations.

The North Atlantic is in uncharted territory. The entire ocean basin is a record-smashing 1.5°C above normal, as millions of square miles of ocean experience strong to severe marine heatwaves. Off the coast of Canada, ocean temperatures are up to 9°C (16°F) above average!
