If you're an indie dev trying to make a game you genuinely need to study the classics and probably get feedback from expert players in whatever genre you're making. If you just wing it then you put the possibility of creating an enduring work of art basically up to chance

The fact that this single encounter at the end of the Subway can go any number of ways while managing to be tense and engaging even after hours of practice is why Final Fight is still the GOAT

(WIP) Showcase of the "Cleave" ability! When Soldier copies data from enemies of the type, he gains the Cleave ability, a power capable of sending out a flurry of slashes as long as it's in his line of sight! The closer the enemy is, the more damage they take!

Keep An Eye Out for this shit; I along with a bunch of other Real Fuckin Talented folks are on this one
When he's not slicing up enemies or copying their data, one of the base moves that Soldier can perform is the somersault! While dashing, if Soldier presses the opposite direction and jumps at the same time, he'll get a boost in height!

[WIP] Showcase of base gameplay. As Soldier, you'll be able to scan enemies for a temporary boost in stats, or even gain a new type of ability from their data!

It absolutely is not - it's, like many of these console fan ports, a Final Fight skinsuit stretched onto a worse (& easier ofc) set of mechanics & enemies. Unlike the SNES ver though, this gets even the most basic player mechanics like backjump atk wrong. But it does add juggles.

This is beautiful. Not "beautiful for its time," but beautiful for any time. If the lower definition visuals bother you please think of it as intentionally concise prose vs very florid meandering prose. Bigger vocabulary =/= better! Both can be beautiful in their own way!

The Saturn Emulator Ymir just got an update that introduces a new option called transparent meshes, which makes dithered patterns render with true transparency.
