The Academy Is… Almost Here was the first album I ever downloaded on iTunes all the way back in 2005 and, 20 years later, I’m so glad I got to finally see them play the album live. Great show. 13/14 year old me would’ve been stoked.

If you can, try to take the time to thank the sound and lighting team at any show you go to. They’re the reason your favorite bands look and sound so good!

“99 % of content fails. With AI the cost and time it takes to experience and learn from those failures drop like a rock.” Failure and experience is a key, if not foundational part of the creative process, one that’s to be cherished, not passed over.
Creators should LOVE Ai. AI doesn’t make uncreative people creative. It allows creators to become exponentially more creative. Creative iteration that used to take hours , days or weeks, can happen in minutes. The different routes you wanted to take but didn’t have the

Seeing LAWRENCE OF ARABIA on a huge screen on 70mm film with a packed crowd was a life changing experience, and I can’t imagine it having a sliver of the impact that it had had I watched it on my iPhone.
Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos argues that ‘BARBIE’ and ‘OPPENHEIMER’ would have been just as big on Netflix. “There’s no reason to believe that the movie itself is better in any size of screen for all people. My son’s an editor, he watched ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ on his phone”

Being in a sold out screening of HAMNET, and hearing the audience have such a visceral, emotional reaction to the film is what I love about going to the movies. To be in an audience, to share in the grief, to be moved to tears with complete strangers, that’s what it’s all about.

Yeah, so HAMNET rocked me to my core. Devastating. Powerful. Overwhelming.

Just finished Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and man, I still love it as much as I did when I was a kid. A few frustrations aside, this franchise still gets me all these years later. Really excited to continue playing through the rest of the series again.
I’ve been re: playing Kingdom Hearts for the first time in years and although I have some issues here and there, this game holds up for me incredibly well, and it’s getting me amped to play through the rest of the series again.

I’ve unintentionally made it a tradition to shave the weekend after Thanksgiving. Might as well keep the ball rolling. See y’all again in ‘26!

Catching up with @KevinMcCarthyTV’s On Film podcast. The conversations and discussions that Kevin is able to bring out of his guests is always amazing. Love this show.

So grateful to have been able to see all three Benoit Blanc mysteries in theatres with an audience. Knives Out and Glass Onion both made it on my end of year list, and unsurprisingly, Wake Up Dead Man does as well. Well done, @rianjohnson!

I brought my point-and-shoot 35mm film camera on my first ever trip to Walt Disney World. I shot about 8 rolls of film. Here are a few early favorite shots (con’t):
