After 14 months of campaigning and over 300K petition signatures, the government have just been forced into a u-turn on on the Family Farm Tax. But the job isn’t done. This is only a partial u-turn. Only the Conservatives will fully reverse the Family Farm Tax.
🚨 BREAKING: The Government has watered down the farm inheritance tax The threshold has increased from £1 million to £2.5 million before being taxed

100%. Blair is to blame for so much of what has gone wrong in our country. We need clear Conservative action to restore constitutional order at Westminster and make Britain governable again.
Why does nothing seem to happen anymore? 400+ quangos. Lawfare. Judicial activism. Britain has become ungovernable. Decline is a choice. Here’s how we fix it 👇

We need a leaner, more effective state. One that does less, but does it well. To achieve this, the Conservatives need a bold plan of Whitehall reform — a programme to weed out the arms-length bodies and regulatory barriers that frustrate ministerial decisions and delay delivery.

Delaying the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Mayoral election is an affront to democracy. This is blatant party-political manipulation to avoid democratic accountability. The Government is treating our residents with contempt. We deserve better than this.

It is expected that the election for mayor in Hampshire and the Solent will instead be held in 2028.

This. 100% this. No Minister — & no Judge — should be able to deprive a citizen of their freedom without judgement by their peers. There is no justification for abandoning Juries. None. If this administration trashes our ancient liberties, the @Conservatives will restore them.
Eroding trial by jury is a terrible idea even in the best of circumstances, but now, in a populist era, would be extremely dangerous. If judges gain even more power, a future government will become very, very interested in their appointment. What could possibly go wrong?

The real question is why we provide benefits to non-British citizens in the first place. A country with £2.8tn of debt cannot continue paying welfare to foreign nationals. We need to reform welfare eligibility to prioritise those it was founded to support — our fellow citizens.
Given that 16% of those on Universal Credit are not UK citizens, the end of the two child limit tomorrow will mean a big benefit payout for around 72,500 households of foreign nationals.

Abolition — or even a supposedly “temporary suspension” — would represent an unforgivable assault on our most basic liberties as British citizens. This is a line that we must not cross as a nation. It would be an attack on our very soul.
The right to Trial by Jury is a critical protection & balance within our justice system. It acts as a check on Judicial & Executive power, while upholding fairness & maintaining public confidence. It’s fundamental to what it means to be British. We cannot abandon this right.

We must keep the two-child benefit cap. This is about fairness. It’s wrong that families on benefits are exempt from the choices made by those who work. Rather than hiking taxes to bloat the welfare state with warped incentives, let’s build a dynamic economy that rewards work.
“It’s a matter of fairness” Shadow chancellor Mel Stride defends the two-child benefit cap and says “if you want a much larger family, then I think individual responsibility should come into play” #BBCLauraK

The @Conservatives will always be on the side of those who work hard, save hard, and do the right thing. That’s why we’re the only party with a fully costed plan to scrap Stamp Duty.
Stamp duty is a bad tax. Plain and simple. So the next Conservative government will scrap it. Here’s why.

Stamp Duty is a grim barrier to opportunity that depresses our economy & flattens our housing market. From young professionals to growing families and downsizing pensioners, abolishing Stamp Duty will benefit every generation in our country. 🇬🇧 #CPC25 🔵🏠 @Conservatives
The people who work hard. Who save hard. Who make sacrifices today for a better life tomorrow. These are our people.

The next #Conservative government will abolish Stamp Duty on your home. Because Britain should be a country where people who wish to own their own home, can. 🏠🇬🇧 #CPC25 @Conservatives 🔵🗳️

A future @Conservatives government will: CUT your taxes. ABOLISH Stamp Duty. ABOLISH Business Rates for pubs and shops on high streets. And deliver a big, bold offer for YOUNGER PEOPLE. All because of the decisions we have set out to live within our means.
