The letter from @USDOTFHWA threatening funding if @NYC_DOT does not answer their requests regarding 34th St busway (which allows local deliveries and emergency vehicles). Feds also want answers on other busways and claim 34th Street is part of the National Highway System.

@SamiLiebman @USDOTFHWA @NYC_DOT 34th street is the only street that connects Lincoln and Midtown tunnels. To remove vehicles from this street — is absolutely spiteful. @TransAlt elected by no one, wants to have Manhattan as a segregated island, make it near impossible for people to visit, commute through.

Very misleading Letter says, hey we're helping pay for this &we asked you for info over a month ago w/no response. also seems that nycdot & nycdot aren't talking w each other so until the 3 of us meet to address

@SamiLiebman @USDOTFHWA @NYC_DOT I agree with the concerns of @USDOTFHWA that @NYC_DOT must coordinate with it before going forward with any busway projects in New York City. All driving New Yorkers should have access to our streets.
