Took this on my last bus ride into the city for the year. What a busy little festive city. I 💚❤️ Tāmaki Makaurau.

I want everyone on this website to think very carefully about this graph and then consider whether or not you need to reorder your priorities at all.

Visitors from overseas are often quite taken with Auckland, despite what us locals tend to think One of the common compliments is“The city centre is so green & lush” I notice that most on on stormy days like today; Queen St really is quite stunning to walk along with fresh eyes

If only there was more than one northbound train from Hamilton to Auckland on a Sunday, all these people would be having a much better time This is a traffic jam I’ve whizzed past many times on that one train, but not an option today unfortunately

With the current Govt looking to increase speed limits again in the name of "economic growth and improved productivity", it's useful to remind ourselves that past and current speed limit reductions have consistently seen much greater $$ gains from fewer deaths & serious injuries

Y’all have no idea the political hoops many of us had to jump through to ensure this project went ahead. Despite SO MUCH LOCAL SUPPORT everyone from schools to businesses to organisations and neighbourhood groups. Submissions in favour but still a big fight. Elections matter!

It's happening!⛏️ Work has begun on the improvements to Great North Road, including a protected cycleway. Yesterday at 5am, @BikeAKL joined the @AKLTransport team for a blessing by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei. It was a genuinely touching experience to witness this significant moment.

Theres lots to be concerned about in transport, but have there ever been more km of cycleways delivered at once? Then of course the work happening for trains is huge May be concerns about future projects, but the next year should deliver a notable step-change for our transport

Flamingo only has Cox’s Bay reserve as a ‘no parking’ zone. Perhaps @limebike made a mistake in its coding?

Hey @AklTransport @AklCouncil , why is there a ‘no go’ zone for @limebike across Coxs Bay Reserve? The Grey Lynn shared path runs right through the centre of this. It’s a critical access link for this area; the only safe or flat route for cycling and scootering.
