Every 27-year-old man needs a 61 year-old man in his life. Wish more churches understood this. If your church had a reputation for being a place where 20-somethings could be mentored by men twice their age, they’d be lined up outside instead of watching Jordan Peterson on YT.

In Springfield, OH: Fulmer grocery on Leffels Ln, ChiChi’s restaurant, Pizza Hut on Main St, JC Penny, Service Merchandise, Northridge Pool, Sports Plex (Fairborn), Skate USA
Besides Arcades…What other places do you remember playing arcade games as a kid? Like pizza parlors, supermarkets, movie theaters, and even gas stations.

This is what we're up against. No one cares a f*** what Advent actually is. It is really difficult to find a Christian Advent calendar. I'd love to design one with windows of John the Baptist, etc. https://t.co/TJMZsfytKx

Wow…retweeting so I can process this. Thankful I had lots of men & women teams teaching me through elementary, but things became male-centric in hs. the narrative is very familiar & I see the effects in myself and in struggling to lead young men today. Thank you
So I graduated from high school in 2007, college in 2011, so I'd say I had a pretty splash-zone view of some of the dumber moments in the history of American Christianity, chief among them being the "young men are not going to church, we need church to appeal to men" era. I can

“Recognition in heaven breaks the need for recognition on earth.”
Absolutley struck to the heart today reading the list of the Apostles Jesus chose. We know almost nothing about most of them. Its possible to be chosen by Jesus, build redemtpive history, and be unknown to the world. Recognition in heaven breaks the need for recognition on earth.

I was chatting with a friend and said that the more I read the Bible and the more I look at the Church, the more I've grown to understand that there are no heroes. Only God is our hero. I can say that without cynicism. I'd say it's good and freeing for me and others.

Kicking Halloween off by [once again] shocking some church people with the fact that I am not a pre-millennial dispensationalist. 😱👻

Can someone explain why we haven’t found a better system for the wait at the Pediatric’s office? Like you told us what time to arrive, why then do we wait another hour+ in a small uncomfortable exam room with a sick child? Signed, Genuinely Curious of the Pity Party #dadlife

What happens when we consistently choose topical over expository sermons (or topical disguised as expository)? We end up w/ what we like or find interesting & neglect the stuff that requires more of us to teach or receive—the words the Spirit is waiting to ignite in our hearts.

I feel thin, sort of stretched, like a Bible verse taken out of context.
