Will power: all-time, BYU has recorded five field goals of 54+ yards; Will Ferrin kicked two of them this season. He is the first BYU kicker with two 54-yarders in the same season. His 16 consecutive field goals made are a BYU record, as are his 24 FGs in a single season.

Sam Vander Haar went from pursuing a career in Aussie Rules Football to pursuing a education and a career in American Football. To do so, Sam, his wife and his mom all bet on him. Now they are seeing that bet pay off at BYU.
