Here’s a counter-intuitive punting tip: Sometimes trying to extend the ball too far to create space is the reason why you feel jammed. Loose arm + momentum is the way. Don’t chuck it out there.

My how times have changed. Kickers nowadays routinely make 50- and 60-yard field goals. On September 17, 1978, NBC's Marv Albert and Bob Trumpy were incredulous that the #Seahawks' Efrén Herrera — a Pro Bowler and one of the best kickers of his era — connected on a 45-yarder.
