4am this morning @khayerc and I joined dedicated @MPSRedbridge officers on a major operation targeting criminals across our borough. Crime is falling, but we’re determined to make Redbridge safer, and it’s intelligence from our neighbours that helped make these arrests.

It was a pleasure to open our first women’s only gym - Serenity in Ilford, this morning. For many reasons women and girls might want or need their own space and our fantastic gym does that and includes a lounge, showers, changing rooms, studio and lots of exercise equipment !

This morning I visited the @RedbridgeLive contact centre to meet staff & listen into some of the calls they handle. The team were patient & empathetic to callers and assist hundreds of people each day. We can help by providing accurate information and making reports online too.

The lived experience and challenges of local residents is so powerful, and the driver behind why we build council houses. Janelle & Berda spoke about what it meant to them and their families to finally have stability in their lives and a place to call home.“We’re so grateful”❤️

It was lovely to be invited to the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities over the weekend in Barkingside with Cllr’s Joshi and Phakoe. A wonderful effort with neighbours from all backgrounds attending and joining in.

I’m proud to have helped @redbridgefb get a permanent home. They’ve done the hard work of creating the perfect space to store and pack parcels (16000 last year!) that are a lifeline to local people. I know times are tough but if you can, please donate, their work is immense.

Following concerns which have been rightly raised by Cllr @Jcblackman about illegally adapted e-bikes, I recently spoke in my colleague @DawnButlerBrent's debate to highlight how these bikes are now being used by criminals to commit phone thefts across our community. 🚴‍♂️👇

I’m very proud of our green spaces, and we’re working on the play equipment and toilet facilities to make them even better. This week I’m delighted that all 9 of our green flag parks have retained that status! Let’s all do our bit to keep them looking great.

Grateful to the brilliant local people volunteering to improve our parks. Everyone can help by disposing of their rubbish correctly, reporting issues, and by joining in on planting and litter pick days. We’re also busy renovating park toilets - please treat them with respect.
