NEWS: During a visit to @SaguaroNPS today, @DepSecBeaudreau announced that over $10 million from @POTUS' Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will support fuels management projects in Arizona on 9,649 acres of land across the state.

Grass Shack Campground Closed Grass Shack Campground is temporarily closed due to mountain lion activity in the area. Campers should reschedule or change their itinerary. Hikers should be alert and move through the area without stopping. Closure is 12/3 - 12/27, subject to change

Thanks to support from the Friends of Saguaro National Park and the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management that help us protect native plants by removing invasive plants from streams in the park.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, like Sophie Fellers (shown collecting morning glory seeds), who are helping us find, collect, and clean seeds.

This summer’s spectacular monsoon rains led to an abundance of beautiful flowers, making it a great year to collect seeds of native plants for pollinator gardens and restoration projects.

The Bajada Loop Drive in the Tucson Mountain District is now open! YAY!!! 🌵🌵🌵

The Rincon Mountain Visitor Center and Red Hills Visitor Center will be closed on Thanksgiving day and Christmas day (11/25 & 12/25) Happy Holidays! 🍂🦃🎄🎅

🛑Bajada Loop Drive is closed until Nov 10th🛑 The Bajada Loop Drive in the Tucson Mountain District is closed for repair work until Nov 10th. Access to Sus Picnic area is still available via Hohokam Rd. The loop is closed past the turn off to the picnic area.

🛑 ROAD UPDATES 🛑 Bajada Loop Drive in the Tucson Mountain District is currently OPEN. It will close again on Oct 28. The construction is split into 2 phases. Phase 1 is now complete. Phase 2 will take place from Oct 28 - Nov 10. Thank you for your patience.

Road Closure in Tucson Mountain District On Wednesday, October 13th, multiple road closures in and near the Tucson Mountain District will affect visitor travel. North Kinney Rd, West Mile Wide Rd, and McCain Loop Rd will all be closed from 8am to 7pm. Please plan accordingly.

Please be patient, particularly if you visit the Red Hills Visitor Center (being rude to front line staff will not make the project go any faster). Thank you.

For those hoping to access trails on the loop, such as Signal Hill, there are access points to these trails other than the Bajada Loop (though they will require some extra hiking). Please see our Hiking Guide or ask our staff for more information.
