I visited @SaguaroNPS today to tour a fuels reduction project funded by @POTUS' Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and announce $10 million from the Law to advance wildfire resilience in Arizona.

Grass Shack Campground Closed Grass Shack Campground is temporarily closed due to mountain lion activity in the area. Campers should reschedule or change their itinerary. Hikers should be alert and move through the area without stopping. Closure is 12/3 - 12/27, subject to change

Thanks to support from the Friends of Saguaro National Park and the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management that help us protect native plants by removing invasive plants from streams in the park.

This summer’s spectacular monsoon rains led to an abundance of beautiful flowers, making it a great year to collect seeds of native plants for pollinator gardens and restoration projects.

🛑Bajada Loop Drive is closed until Nov 10th🛑 The Bajada Loop Drive in the Tucson Mountain District is closed for repair work until Nov 10th. Access to Sus Picnic area is still available via Hohokam Rd. The loop is closed past the turn off to the picnic area.

🛑 ROAD UPDATES 🛑 Bajada Loop Drive in the Tucson Mountain District is currently OPEN. It will close again on Oct 28. The construction is split into 2 phases. Phase 1 is now complete. Phase 2 will take place from Oct 28 - Nov 10. Thank you for your patience.

Road Closure in Tucson Mountain District On Wednesday, October 13th, multiple road closures in and near the Tucson Mountain District will affect visitor travel. North Kinney Rd, West Mile Wide Rd, and McCain Loop Rd will all be closed from 8am to 7pm. Please plan accordingly.

For those hoping to access trails on the loop, such as Signal Hill, there are access points to these trails other than the Bajada Loop (though they will require some extra hiking). Please see our Hiking Guide or ask our staff for more information.
