While @SafeInFaithUK is in Rome, it was great to join @iamCARITAS at the University of Notre Dame for a round table on women as peace builders, hearing about some incredible work happening round the world & talking about the relationship between peace building and trauma recovery.

This is why we work with clergy to help change the message to “God loves you and wants you to be safe”.
We are taught:.- turn the other cheek.- forgiveness is a virtue.- be kind. BUT millions of people are dangerous narcissists/psychopaths who don’t believe in these values. Being kind & forgiving with everyone will likely get you unnecessarily, seriously harmed. Be discerning.
