Greeks are not indicators that can predict the future. They are a risk metric. They tell us how our book might react when the underlying conditions change. We give BSM our prediction of the future and it spits out VaR. Not understanding this is what causes shit discussion here.

Another stark difference in work culture in India vs elsewhere:. Manager says "Brief me in 1 hr". Everywhere else it would mean "Tell me whatever you know in 1 hr". In India, it would mean "You have 1h to be an expert on it". So Indians will just (confidently) make shit up.

@inSenCite I've seen Indian/SEA workers abuse the dynamic equally. Since it is implicit in a parent-child relationship that there's little consequence for shoddy workmanship, the same leeway is expected at work. "I'm sorry Mr. Manager" doesn't and shouldn't cover for unprofessional work.

I was like 24 and I partied too hard one work night and got written up when I couldn't get to the site in the morning on time. I said sorry like 20 times to my sup. In India, 3x "Sorry" would have gotten me off the hook. Was a culture shock to me when it didn't work with him 😆.
