In Nov 2017 SMBC Post-doc Alex Jahn deployed 10 satellite transmitters on Snail Kites in southern Brazil. The kite that has traveled the furthest recently entered the southern Amazon River Basin in Bolivia, over 1500 miles away from the capture site.
