Thrilled to announce that as of today I'm beginning an @NIH Postdoctoral T32 Fellowship through @utahctsi! Will be adding some muscle/bone imaging to my toolkit with the help of @KotaZTakahashi and @lenzetal. So excited to get started!

Little late on this one, but we had another paper out recently. In this perspective piece, we highlight a non-dimensional number specific to flapping flight that describes performance tradeoffs that come about from resonance in insects. We call it the Weis-Fogh number (N) (1/n)

Thrilled to see this out! In this work, we tested a bold hypothesis: Do fish in schools benefit from their leaders laminarizing flow? The answer is yes. We found reduction in energy consumption and more regular tail beat patterns when in school & in laminar flow. Thread 👇
